NEW FOCUS

Those of us who have been praying during the Tongues of Fire meeting two times a month are sensing that we want to continue praying in tongues but concentrate on those who are sick in the body of Christ.

At the same time, we decided this, Melinda called Virginia and asked about praying for the sick at a specific time and day, but from wherever we are.  Sounds like God don’t you think?  He gave basically two groups the same idea at the same time.

So here is the whole plan for now:

Tongues of fire will continue meeting two times a month.  Those who want to come to the McManus’ house to pray are encouraged to do so.  We will be praying in tongues for physical healing in the body of Christ.  We will lay out paper(s) with the names of those who need
healing and from what.  Anyone who wants to be praying at the same time from elsewhere are encouraged to join us in the spirit.  Times and dates are sent out by FSM office in the email.  It will still say “Tongues of Fire”.

Starting in January people will be invited to schedule 30 minutes of that hour for us to lay hands on them and pray over them (in tongues) for the last 30 minutes of each session.  The first half of all times will just be praying in tongues over all the body of Christ for physical healing.

We will be winging it at first to see how all this works, making changes as we go.  We want the body of Christ to have breakthrough in healings received.  We also do not want to wear out the prayer warriors who have been attending all the prayer meetings!  This will combine two separate prayer meetings, as well as including others who don’t want to travel but want to pray.

What to do:

1. Send the names of the sick and what they are suffering from, or being challenged with and,
2. Send Virginia your name if you will be attending or praying from somewhere else (we want to know who is participating so we can communicate with them individually instead of mass emails).  An example is Don and Melinda will be praying from their home each session, Dick and Virginia will be attending at the McManus home.

We feel God is calling us to start igniting altars of worship in our region to transform our state and nation.  We understand that there still must be declarations made over our state and nation.  We understand that we need to have Christians move in to positions in the government mountain.  We understand that we need the Church of God to grow into the Ecclesia and move in its full authority. We need to pray for the bride to emerge.  However, this cannot all be accomplished in one prayer meeting necessarily!

So, in the government prayer meeting that Dick and Virginia are leading, at this time, in this season, we feel God is asking us to worship. Worship is so much more than singing.  We hope you will be flagging, dancing, praying in tongues and English.  Some may find themselves laughing, crying, or in travail.  We know this may be a new way for some of you to pray.  We want to give ourselves for God to orchestrate an altar of worship that He can establish in our region.  We want to open portals for heavenly hosts to enter and work, as God instructs them.

The doors will open at 9:45am.  We will start worship at 10:15am until 11:15am, at which time there will be time for declarations born from the worship.  That means if during worship God gives you the declaration to speak forth, please take the time to write it down.  This will be a powerful time of God given declarations.  We will end as soon as the declarations are finished.  We are asking that you be present for the worship in order to make declarations.  The worship will be opening the door of your heart as well as heaven.

Firestorm is starting a weekly MEN’S ONLY meeting for the purpose of building unity, comradery, support and becoming a ferocious spiritual fighting force.

We will deal with “guy stuff”. We will support one another in our struggles and challenges in life that we, as men, face.

We’ll have finger food, fellowship, some Bible study and lots of prayer.
